SHORT DESCRIPTION:
All materials in ORCA go through a quality assurance process before they are published, which is intended in particular to ensure that licensing and technical standards are implemented and that access is as barrier-free as possible. The office maintains the educational materials in the portal in close consultation with the creators, taking into account the content life cycle, so that, for example, the metadata or links to external material are always up-to-date. The long-term identifiability and findability of the material is guaranteed by the permanent storage in a database of the North Rhine-Westphalia University Library Centre (hbz). In addition, the portal offers access to the services of the Legal Information Office, which provides information on copyright, data protection and media law issues, among other things.
