In 2022, the Ministry of Culture and Science (MKW) in North Rhine-Westphalia, together with the Digital University NRW (DH.NRW), has announced the third round of the OERContent.nrw funding line. With 9 million euros, the conception and creation of open, digital teaching/learning materials at public universities in NRW will be funded. OERContent.nrw is thus the largest funding line for the creation of open educational materials in Germany.
The projects in this funding line develop OER materials in the form of didactically coherent and structured online courses or online self-assessments that can be used either as independent learning offerings on ORCA.nrw or to support classroom teaching (integrated via the local learning management systems of the universities).
All materials will be published as OER on the state portal ORCA.nrw after their completion.
